Lukas Seiling

Lukas Seiling received their psychology bachelor from the University of Mannheim. They continued their studies through the masters programs Cognitive Systems at the University of Potsdam and Human Factors at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2020, Lukas started working at the Weizenbaum Institute, where from 2020 to 2022 they co-led the Privacy Icons Project of the research group “Frameworks for Data Markets“, and from September 2022 to May 2024 worked for the research group “Digital News Dynamics” on a framework for the collection of behavioural data on simulated newsfeeds. Since May 2024, Lukas Seiling is responsible for the coordination of the #DSA40 Data Access Collaboratory, a joint project by the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) and the Weizenbaum Institute. Lukas’ research interests include research engineering and data access as well as technologically mediated risks for individuals, society, and science.
