Mari Verulashvili
Policy Analyst
Mari Verulashvili is a Policy Analyst at the Knight-Georgetown Institute (KGI) at Georgetown University, where she works on AI and platform governance and competition policy in digital markets. She is a public policy specialist with experience spanning quantitative analysis, institutional reform, and program design across Europe, Central Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining KGI, Mari spent four years in the World Bank’s Prosperity Vice Presidency, where she conducted labor market analysis, legislative and regulatory assessment, and microeconomic modeling. Before that, she spent six years at the International Republican Institute (IRI) leading USAID-funded programs spanning institutional reform, digital governance, and capacity building in Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, in partnership with EU institutions.
Mari holds a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. She also holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in linguistics from Ilia State University.
