Chris Cheng

Fritz Family Student Fellow (Policy and Data)

Zhiyang (Chris) Cheng is a Fritz Family Student Fellow (Policy and Data) at the Knight-Georgetown Institute.
Chris is a second year Master’s student in the Data Science for Public Policy program at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. With a background in PPE from Wuhan University, he is passionate about using data science to cognitively empower individuals. Chris is particularly interested in measuring public opinion, argument mining, and integrating LLM-based AI into daily workflows to drive efficiency. Currently, his research as a Fritz Fellow focuses on evaluating the impact of the Digital Markets Act in the EU.
