KGI welcomes Nick Jones as Senior Research Fellow
In September 2026, KGI welcomed Nick Jones as Senior Research Fellow focusing on KGI’s Agentic Information Future initiative.
The Knight-Georgetown Institute is pleased to welcome Nick Jones as Senior Research Fellow focusing on KGI’s Agentic Information Future initiative.
Nick brings extensive experience across the public and private sectors as a technology advisor, software engineer, and consultant. Prior to joining KGI, he served as a Senior Technology Advisor at the Federal Trade Commission from 2022 to 2026, where he provided technical expertise to strengthen many of the FTC’s major enforcement actions, and led some of the FTC’s early policy initiatives on cloud computing and AI.
Prior to the FTC, he worked as a software engineer on government technology modernization efforts at 18F and Nava PBC, and on healthcare and consumer-facing products in the private sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Carleton College.
