Michal Luria

Dr. Michal Luria is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Democracy & Technology, leading the organization’s research on evaluating and designing sociotechnical systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Luria’s research is human-centered, and aims to explore and critique emerging technologies, translating insights into policy considerations, ethical discussions and advocacy. Her writing has appeared in Wired, CNN, and other major outlets, while her work has been featured by NBC, BBC News, 404 Media, Dezeen, The Verge, and more.
