Rachel Kim
Student Researcher

Rachel Kim is a student researcher at the Knight-Georgetown Institute, where she focuses on the legal implications of emerging technologies and analyzes judicial, regulatory, and legislative developments related to platform governance, online safety, and digital media.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and Management from the University of Maryland Honors Program and is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at Georgetown University Law Center.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Rachel worked at a pharmaceutical software company and later at a law firm specializing in medical service litigation. These experiences shaped her interest in how innovation, regulatory policy, and legal systems interact across digital environments and within highly regulated industries. At Georgetown, she is deepening her focus on technology, business, and intellectual property law through her involvement in the Intellectual Property Law Association and the Antitrust & Competition Law Association, as well as through research and editorial work supporting faculty publications.
