Iverson Yue

Student Researcher

Iverson Yue is a student researcher at the Knight-Georgetown Institute, where his work focuses on regulating technology platforms through platform design interventions, with a particular emphasis on children’s online safety.

He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Communication, Culture, and Technology at Georgetown University. His academic interests center around science and technology policy and Science and Technology Studies (STS). Prior to joining Georgetown, Iverson delivered multiple public speeches and actively participated in international and regional debate contests in China, addressing pressing controversies and challenges posed by emerging technology.

At Georgetown, his is now primary researching on AI risk assessment and social media platform governance. He also investigates broader technology areas such as medicine technology, nuclear weapons, as well as the history and philosophy of science and technology. Throughout his graduate studies, Iverson has written several policy briefs addressing technology issues across the EU, US, and China, including platform liability, free speech, disinformation, and AI risk assessment.
